OVERVIEW
This website is operated by TheKnifeGuy.com, a division of JPI, an Arizona based Corporation, (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our” or “The Company.”). These terms and conditions govern all users of this site, including but not limited to browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and suppliers. By accessing or using any part of this website, or by purchasing knife sharpening services from TheKnifeGuy.com, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If these terms are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to the terms outlined below.
Any new or modified services or products added to the site will be subject to these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace any portion of these Terms of Service at any time by posting the updated terms on this site. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Service before placing an order for our services. Continued use or access to the site after any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
TheKnifeGuy.com’s services are hosted independently on the web.
SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or of the legal age in your state or country of residence, or that you have obtained consent for minors under your care to use this site.
You may not use our services for unlawful or unauthorized activities, nor may you violate any laws within your jurisdiction while using our services. You must not transmit any harmful computer programs, mobile malware, or destructive code to our site or service by any means digitally or in-person.
Failure to comply with any of these terms will result in the immediate termination of our services.
Additional fees may apply for the repair of damaged blades or in other such circumstances due to metal, ceramic and/or other coatings, etc. You will be notified of such charges via email once your items have been received and inspected by our team.
Promotions and Gift Cards: We may offer promotional discounts from time to time on the site. The terms for each promotion will be posted on the site. We retain the right to modify or discontinue any promotion at our discretion, and only one promotional code may be used per transaction.
The Company operates from the State of Arizona but it may utilize individuals, certified as Master Knife Sharpeners, as determined by the company to work from individual location(s.) The Company may endorse, promote or sell items that are made in other states or nations as detailed in product descriptions.
SECTION 2 – GENERAL CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual for any reason at any time.
You understand that any data you submit, excluding payment information, may be transferred in an unencrypted format across various networks. Payment details are always encrypted during transmission.
You agree not to reproduce, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the service, website access, or related content without express written consent from us.
The headings used in these Terms are for convenience only and will not limit or affect the interpretation of these terms.
SECTION 3 – ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION
We are not responsible if the information provided on this website is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
Certain content on this site may include historical data, which is provided for reference only. We reserve the right to modify the content at any time without obligation to update past information. You are responsible for monitoring any changes to the site.

Prices for services are subject to change without notice.
We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of our services at any time, with or without prior notice.
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modifications, price changes, suspensions, or discontinuations of our services.
SECTION 5 – PRODUCTS OR SERVICES
We reserve the right to limit the sale or service of our products to any individual, region, or jurisdiction, and we may apply this on a case-by-case basis.
We also reserve the right to limit the number of items we will service at any one time. All descriptions and pricing are subject to change without notice. We may discontinue any service at any time.
SECTION 6 – BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION ACCURACY
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order placed with us at our discretion. We may impose limits on or cancel orders that appear to be placed by commercial entities, including dealers or resellers.
You agree to provide accurate and current company, and or individual financial or account details when placing an order. You will promptly update your information, including email addresses and payment information, and phone number “as necessary to complete transactions and/or order and to facilitate communication.”
SECTION 7 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our service may contain links to third-party websites or services not controlled by TheKnifeGuy.com. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
You acknowledge and agree that TheKnifeGuy.com will not be liable for any damage or loss arising from the use of third-party websites or services.
SECTION 8 – AUTHORIZATION TO MODIFY BLADE SHARPNESS
By sending your knives and other implements to TheKnifeGuy.com for sharpening, you authorize us to increase the sharpness of the items and to modify their edges to enhance their effectiveness (i.e. sharpnesss.) This applies to all metal and ceramic knives and blades you submit for sharpening. This means the removal of metal which reduces the blade width, and possible blade shape, each and every time the knife is sharpened, whether by the Company or if using alternative sources or services to sharpen the blade(s).
SECTION 9 – SHIPPING AND PACKAGING
You agree to carefully package your knives, and other implements such as scissors, when sending them for sharpening and to handle these items (i.e knives or scissors) with EXTREME caution when opening packages containing sharpened items. Exercise EXTREME care when handling blades, especially when testing their sharpness. The Company is NOT liable for any packing, shipping from the customer to the Company.
The Company will make it’s best effort to package and ship such items to customer, however, 100% of the liability of shipping, loss, damage or stollen goods in transit, or other, is the entire liability of the shipping carrier. The Company does NOT insure knives upon return shipment to Customer, beyond the nominal amount of $100 for the ENTIRE order. Therefore, if a Customer wants shipping insurance it is the customer’s 100% responsibility to inform the Company in writing, including pre-payment for the additional shipping charges for insurance. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. As an example, if 10 knives are ordered by a customer, and received by the Company, and the knives are sharpened and shipped back to the Customer, the limit to damage, as provided EXCLUSIVELY by the Company’s choice of shipping carrier is to be $100 or less for THE ENTIRE ORDER unless, as negotiated with the third-party shipping carrier. If a customer specifically desires, requires and must have additional shipping warranties, the customer must pre-pays for the additional insurance before the order is shipped by the Company back to the Customer. Any such request must be done in writing and no oral or implied consideration is implied.
SECTION 10 – CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You confirm that you have prior experience in handling the knives or implements being sent for sharpening, and you agree to exercise care and EXTREME caution when using them after sharpening.
SECTION 11 – PERSONAL DATA
Your submission of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
SECTION 12 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS
There may be errors on our website or in our service that relate to pricing, promotions, or availability. We reserve the right to correct these errors and update or cancel orders if necessary. We are under no obligation to update or clarify information unless required by law.
SECTION 13 – DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TheKnifeGuy.com does not guarantee that its services will be uninterrupted or error-free. While we will make every “reasonable” effort to meet the satisfaction of our customers, including exceedingly quick turn- around, we do not offer any other kind of guarantee. If an issue between the Company and the Customer is not resolved, from either parties perspective, the Company’s liability is limited to the cost of the service order. As an example, if a customer owns a knife valued at $150 and it was submitted to the Company for sharpening, and the customer was dissatisfied with The Company’s services and a reasonable resolution could not be met, the Company’s liability would be limited to the actual Customer’s cost of the Company’s service to sharpen that individual knife.
You understand that our services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered. We will not be liable for any injury or loss related to the use or handling of sharpened knives or other implements. Shipments are insured up to $100, and we may require proof of purchase or images for claims.
SECTION 14 – INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold TheKnifeGuy.com harmless from any claims or damages resulting from your use or handling of sharpened items, including any third-party claims arising from your failure to warn or properly handle sharpened implements. Additionally, the Customer agrees to hold TheKnifeGuy.com harmless from any and all shipping carrier, claims or damages resulting damaged goods or lost goods being shipped to and or from the company.
This means TheKnifeGuy.com, the Company, its subsidiaries, affiliates, licensors, service providers, content providers, employees, agents, officers, and directors will not be liable for any incidental, direct, indirect, punitive, actual, consequential, special, exemplary, or other damages, including loss of revenue or income, pain and suffering, emotional distress, or similar damages, even if company has been advised of the possibility of such damages. in no event will the collective liability of company and its subsidiaries, affiliates, licensors, service providers, content providers, employees, agents, officers, and directors, to any party (regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you have paid to company for the applicable content, product or service out of which liability.
SECTION 15 – SAFETY WARNINGS
You acknowledge that knife sharpening services are inherently dangerous. You agree to handle all sharpened implements with care and to keep them out of reach of children.
SECTION 16 – SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will remain in effect.
SECTION 17 – TERMINATION
These Terms will remain in effect until terminated by either party. We may terminate your access to our services if we determine you have violated these Terms.
If you decide to cancel your order after it has been processed, you may incur a cancellation fee to cover administrative costs.
SECTION 18 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and TheKnifeGuy.com and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.
SECTION 19 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Arizona.
SECTION 20 – CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically. Continued use of the site or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
