Easy Packing and Shipping

To send your knives, simply pack them in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box (small, medium, or large) as shown in the "quick tutorial" video below. Make sure to include your completed order form inside the box and ship it to us from your local post office. Return shipping costs are included at checkout.

Knives Received & Sharpened

When we receive your knives, our experts inspect them for chips and appreciated deformities. Then, our skilled knife smiths expertly restore your blades to a razor-sharp edge. Our average turnaround time for sharpening is within (1) day of the receipt of your knives. Sometimes within (2) days, if needed.

  • How often should I sharpen my kitchen knives?

    It depends on usage, but generally, if you use your knives regularly, they should be sharpened every 3-6 months. Signs your knife needs sharpening include difficulty cutting, your having to push hard to make a cut, or the knife dragging through food.

  • What types of knives do you sharpen?

    We sharpen a wide variety of knives, including chef's knives, paring knives, serrated knives, and specialty knives and even scissors and shears. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us to confirm! We don’t sharpen swords, weapons or gardening tools or equipment.

  • What is the turnaround time for sharpening?

    On the average we typically ship your knives out the same day we receive them. There are times in may take two days. On very large orders we contact you about your expected turn-around time to meet your deadline.

  • How do I package my knives for shipping?

  • Do you offer some kind of knife sharpening guarantee?

    If upon receiving your newly sharpened knives you're not totally satisfied with the sharpness of the blade, and or our services, we will work with you to make it right. We’ve our master knife sharpeners and we stand by our work and commitment to ensure your knives are razor-sharp.

  • Can you sharpen damaged or heavily worn knives?

    Yes, we specialize in restoring even heavily worn or damaged knives. We will assess the condition and determine the best approach for sharpening. If we determine the knife is unsafe then in these cases we will contact you accordingly. Be aware that the knife sharpening process is one of removing metal to restore the edge. We want to share, that restoring severely damaged blades means removing more metal.

  • Is there a limit to how many knives I can send at once?

    There is no limit, but for the individual professional chef or kitchen chef we recommend sending up to 10 - 14 knives at a time for optimal processing and to ensure safe shipping. We are happy to receive larger orders and will assist you in proper packing and shipping instructions, if needed, for any quantity of knives you need sharpened. Additionally, with larger orders, 100 knives or more, we would love to discuss turn-around times to meet your knife sharpening needs for your restaurant, school or kitchen.
